The most popular route to Galway from overseas is through Dublin Airport. Buses depart hourly to Galway from the coach stop outside Terminal 1 (see https://www.citylink.ie/, https://www.gobus.ie// or https://www.buseireann.ie/). Alternatively, a local bus connection is available to Dublin City where a train from Heuston Station to Galway departs regularly (http://www.irishrail.ie/). The journey duration is approximately 2.5 hours. All bus and train terminus are located just off Eyre Square in Galway which is in the heart of the city with popular hotels only a few minutes walk away.

Goldcrest Village, NUI Galway’s on-site student residences, is beautifully situated on the University campus and within walking distance to the main campus and Galway city centre. The Forster Court Hotel, a modern, boutique-style hotel situated in the heart of Galway City, right next to the train and bus stations, and just a minute’s walk from Eyre square and 25 minutes from NUI Galway.
