Our core products which focus on aeration, mixing and hydropower (designed using the principles of fluid dynamics) with focus on sustainability have garnered international interest with a number of municipal, industrial and aquaculture players. The company has a unique collection of combined deep technology expertise in areas such as vortex fluid dynamics, hydraulics, energy efficiency, wastewater process and control, biochemistry, sustainable product design, commercial scaling and energy finance.
The Energy Systems Integration Partnership Programme (ESIPP) aims to address some of the leading energy challenges of our time as we move to decarbonise our energy system. ESIPP brings together a multidisciplinary team of leading researchers from 5 research institutions across Ireland. The main goal of this partnership is to build Energy Systems Integration (ESI) research capacity within Ireland. The research programme is designed to bring together the most relevant academics in Ireland, with our industry partners and collaborators, to tackle some key research challenges in ESI. The research programme is broken down into three research strands comprised of 16 different work packages.
Ward and Burke Construction Ltd. was formed in 2001 and is now established as one of Ireland’s principal Civil & MEICA Engineering Contractors with offices in Ireland, UK, Canada and the US. Ward and Burke specialises in the design, manufacture, supply, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of small and large scale environmental, water and wastewater infrastructure. Such projects include hydraulic structures such as fish passages, drop structures, deep sewer conveyance systems and pumping stations. Within Canada and the USA, the company focuses on the design and construction of micro-tunnelling (up to 3000 mm diameter), shafts and caissons, for the utilities sector. Ward & Burke’s portfolio also encompasses bridge and road infrastructure projects incorporating construction and rehabilitation works.
